It's that time again

I know I haven't been posting any good links. There's something about having a real job that seems to have massively curtailed my web surfing. However, read this and weep.

Sorry for the lack of link - blogger didn't have the button for adding a link for some reason, and I can't be bothered looking up the html. cut and paste.

BOAST TIME

It's been a while since I've been able to do this - but I am firmly planted in a Champions League spot. I'm above Mitch. I'm above Yeungu. I'm so far above CT that I can see the bald spot on her head.

Woo hoo for being 2nd!!!

Quote of the day.

From Thierry Henry:
“A kid asked me on Wednesday if I would have liked to play for another team,” the Arsenal and France striker said. “Straight away I said Liverpool. First of all, I would have loved to play with Steven Gerrard and second I like the club and their fans. There’s something about Anfield that you can’t explain. I love it when you step out of the dressing-room and you see the Kop, the scarves, and hear people singing You’ll Never Walk Alone. Just that, that would do it for me."

Thierry, we wouldn't have you. At this club we only like Champions League winners.

Sorry D-Rak, it had to be said.

Taking it to new heights

So, after a short hiatus, I checked in on my team last night. Turns out, part of the reason my team are so shit is that I have a player whose current score is a mighty minus 2. yes, that's right. You heard it here first. This far into the season, if you have a special talent for picking players, it is possible to still have a score of -2.

That is all.

Most over-rated player.

Not an especially topical question, but who do you think is the most overrated player of, say, the last decade? My vote goes to Roberto Carlos -- one good free kick in the midst of a million shanks. And he's an ugly fucker.

Peter Crouch: goalscoring legend

Now 10 goals in 13 games for his country, but would you have him as a fixture alongside Rooney in your first XI? If not, who would you put in? The typical argument against Crouchinho playing is that, although his managers like what he brings to the team, he doesn't score enough goals. But he's doing OK for England now ...

Whaddaya reckon?
