An Englishman Abroad
My favourite quote of the (still young) month...
"I had a good time in Madrid, both on and off the pitch but I missed the UK weather, I missed the food, the Premiership and being around English people." Michael Owen.
I'm sure he'll find a soulmate on Tyneside in Lee Bowyer who will no doubt agree with much of Michael's pro-European sentiment.
Still, not as insightful as Ian Rush who, describing his unsuccessful sojourn to Juventus, remarked that Italy "is like a foreign country". Bless.

God only knows what he missed about the weather! I guess it's hard to get used to all the sunshine - gives you wrinkles and what not.
Don't knock Newcastle -- I hear they have great tapas there.
