Meanwhile, I nearly just signed Erik Edman to my fantasy team. I really am the kiss of death to Premiership footballers. Does anyone out there have a vendetta against a particular player? If so, I can help you out by putting them in the Miracle of Istanbul (for a small fee, of course).

It's good to know that the kiss of death has been transferred to you Nick. As Jon and Nic can attest, in previous seasons when I have bought a player they either:
a) Become injured
b) Start playing like Harry Kewell (aka shit)
or
c) Die (Job anyone?)
Just knowing that you are now cursed has raised my spirits. Worsdt case scenario (for me) - two of us have the talent and I have competition for last place.
